Swedish Massage

Light to medium pressure aimed at achieving overall body relaxation. The massage therapist will use a combination of long gliding strokes, kneading, percussive tapping, friction and vibration to cause an increase in blood circulation. With an increase in blood flow, oxygen and other nutrient levels rise causing an easing of tension and promoting relaxation.

Swedish massages are very calming and will leave you feeling totally refreshed and rejuvenated.

Deep Tissue

A deep tissue massage is more focused on a certain area and is designed to relieve pain and can be used to treat a range of conditions. Using firmer pressure, the deeper layers of troubled muscles are targeted; adhesions, also known as trigger points are addressed too. Adhesions cause inflammation and limit motion of the muscles and joints.

Deep tissue massage treats pain caused by a variety of conditions including muscle strain from sports injuries, osteoarthritis, whiplash, muscle spasms and fibromyalgia. Often to get the most benefit you will need multiple sessions.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. Reiki aids in healing the root of the issue. This can be physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually.

Hot Stone Massage

During a hot stone massage, smooth, flat, heated stones are placed on specific parts of your body. The stones are usually made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat. The stones are placed along your spine, on your stomach/chest area and in between your toes. Massage therapists hold the heated stones as they massage your body using long gliding strokes and circular motions to ease tension and help repair damage soft tissue in the body. The benefit of Hot Stone massage is the heat from the stones. The heated stones expand blood vessels which encourages blood flow throughout the entire body. The heat helps to relieve chronic pain, allows the body to go into a deeper, sedative relaxation reducing stress and tension.

Hot Stone Massage Rate
